Who we are
Welcome to Saints and Symbols! We are glad to have you here.
This started as a passion project between three family members: brothers Matthew and John, and John’s wife, Brandy.
If you're like us, your days are filled with muddy dogs, spaghetti-splattered toddlers, and the delightful chaos of ordinary life.
Because of this, most people live life in t-shirts. Beautiful clothing feels useless outside of Sunday Mass.
We saw a need for Catholic shirts that boldly profess the Faith, but do so beautifully.
Too often, Catholic apparel feels either too plain, basic, or loud. We wanted to create something that tastefully brings the beauty of the Faith into everyday life.
As Dostoevsky famously said in The Idiot, “Beauty will save the world.” And beauty, as Bishop Robert Barron puts it, is “the arrowhead of evangelization.”
Beauty has power. Not just aesthetic power, but the power to point all souls toward God. This is because, as Thomas Aquinas remarked, beauty reflects the divine. And our goal is simple: to help reintroduce beauty into a world that seems to have forgotten it.
Our Vision
Our Designs
Our designs are not made by AI. Each is inspired by sacred artwork, traditional imagery, the lives and revelations of the saints, and symbols of the one true Faith. Many of our designs are pulled from traditional imagery found in old Catholic prayer books. Why change the wisdom of the past?
We test every design. Once a design is finalized, we order mockups to check the quality of both the design and the print. While we hope to manage our own inventory someday, we currently vet each third-party provider to ensure the quality of our shirts. If it’s published in our store, it’s something we’ve approved and genuinely love. We hope you will too!
